What are your spiritual practices for your own self care? Do you engage in any special preparation before you coach a client or while coaching? What are they and does the client participate also? Are you known for spirituality before your clients hire you or do you introduce it when you feel led to? Do you use any structures like incense, daily guidance cards, or crystals? How do your clients respond to this?
I think that aligning our inner being with God, Love, the Universe and a client prior to working together is a great way to tune into your intuition before hand.
Hi Jude,
I'm responding to your question about whether to introduce a client to our spiritual beliefs if they're unaware of them prior to contacting us. I'm finding that clients are becoming more aware of ideas and concepts like the Law of Attraction which can give us a common ground to work from and enables me to work with most clients comfortably without concern of crossing any lines regarding Spiritual/Religious beliefs. But the interesting thing is, after I've worked with a client a while, I'll sometimes learn they hold stronger Spiritual beliefs then they first let on or have a mother, spouse, etc., who has strong Spiritual beliefs! I feel there's times I attract clients who aren't comfortable expressing their beliefs openly and need to feel safe in order to do so.
Thanks,
Agatha
I'm sure your sessions are creating trust and a safe space for your clients. I agree that clients often open up as we go along not only to us, but to themselves. That's one of the parts in coaching that I enjoy immensely- watching a client discover the core of their own be-ing - who they are and who they want to be.
One of my favorite quotes that helped me in the beginning of my own personal transformation is "When I let go of who I am, I become who I might be." - Lao Tzu
I tend to attract clients who are open and exploring their own beliefs, because they have read my posts or blog. They've had a glimpse of something they resonate with.
